Also, there are so many seasons of life! It was so full and noisy when my kids were young and now they’re grown and gone and life feels rich and little again. When all three come home at the end of the month, it will feel at its richest.
They're the richest experiences, the ones where your heart swells with connection and contentment. Appreciating them is an act of gratitude, a prayer of thanks to the gods that govern our happiness.. Saying, thank you, I am not greedy...yes, please, just like this.
Oh Tessa, I think you are what people call “genuinely happy”. Reading this made me feel like the richest woman in the world. Knowing that my beautiful friend is happy and living what sounds like a pretty magical life. I love the rich little life I have here too. Chickens in my backyard, home grown veggies that took months just to figure out how to keep them alive, the pitter-patter of little feet down my hallway in the morning and the snuggles and coffee in bed. All might seem small but man they make me feel like I’m so damn lucky. 🥰
A smaller space to call home has meant deeper connection for my family. Enough money has meant that I feel like my husband and I have never worked a day in my life, following our passions, doing what we love. Wealth is certainly the time I have to spend with people and myself. Rich is the quality of my life, not easy (I do not seek this and there are sacrifices, but full. My life is full. Wouldn't want it any other way. Love Alison Rice's descrption, 'rich little life'. I think I've got it. Yay! Thanks for sharing you rich little day. There is nothing little about it. xo Danni
I too have seen Alison's "rich little life" phrasing on Instagram and each time I smile at the beauty of the reframe. Thank you for sharing this rich little day <3
I love the idea of a rich little morning and a rich little life. I feel like the world around us is always prodding us for more, more, more. The invitation to slow down and sink into the less but more meaningful is a beautiful invitation.
This was such a beautiful read. I wish for all of us that we are able to enjoy rich little lives - content in the small, simple joys. Thank you for the inspiration ✨

Contentment is the most precious jewel, and like you’ve said, difficult to trust and difficult to share when it’s true. Loving and relating. 💎
A lovely piece to read today! Thanks for the reminder of being grateful for the simple things in life.
